Each of the ten ‘fingers’ houses gallery spaces with skylights at the fingertips, illuminating the exhibits with natural light. The environmentally friendly design includes a rainwater harvesting system.

Curving and unfolding petals along with shiny steel and glass bands create a feeling of lightness and sophistication. The pure white color of the architecture along with the natural light shining in from the large windows creates a feeling of openness and airiness.

To get to ArtScience Museum, visitors can use many different means of transport: MRT train, bus, taxi, or other shuttle services. ArtScience Museum is located right next to Marina Bays with many other attractive tourist attractions such as Marina Bay Sands, Merlion Park, Garden By the Bay, etc.

Prioritizes environmental sustainability

The lotus-shaped roof is designed to collect rainwater for a reflecting pool on the building’s lowest level. Rainwater is then recycled and used in the building’s plumbing system, reducing reliance on clean, treated water. Each “lotus petal” of the building has a skylight to bring natural light into the exhibition spaces, reducing dependence on electric light bulbs, while also having a small environmental footprint.

The museum has a total area of 5,000 square meters and boasts 21 gallery spaces, spread over three floors, featuring a mix of permanent and touring exhibitions. It seamlessly blends elements of art, science, culture, and technology in its exhibits.

The questions on the screen lead to thinking about the creative process of art and science, as well as the differences between these two fields. The second permanent gallery, Inspiration, focuses on six important works of scientific and artistic innovation that changed the world. These milestones include Leonardo da Vinci’s flying machine, Kongming floating paper lanterns, buckminsterfullerene molecular models, ancient Chinese scrolls, high-tech robot fish and of course the architectural drawings of Art Science Museum in the planning and construction phase.

3. Expression

Bieu Dat, where visitors can admire scientific and artistic achievements throughout human history. At the highest point of the building, the Expression Room also has a large-scale multimedia room, displaying humanity’s great achievements in both art and science. The Expression Room explores the process of creativity and innovation, focusing on human advancements in robotics, architecture, nanotechnology, navigation and flight, as well as the results of the creative process
