The area around the Merlion in Singapore is a hub of attractions and activities, offering a rich mix of cultural, historical, and modern experiences. I listed below the most interesting places to visit and discover around the Merlion:

1. The iconic hotel and entertainment complex is a must-visit called Marina Bay Sands. It features the world’s largest rooftop infinity pool, a casino, a shopping mall, and the ArtScience Museum. I will spend a specific blog for this famous of Singapore’s signature.
2. Gardens by the Bay: A futuristic park with giant tree-like structures called Supertree Grove, two conservatories – the Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest, and various themed gardens. It presents the plant kingdom in a whole new way, entertaining while educating visitors with plants seldom seen in this part of the world, ranging from species in cool, temperate climates to tropical forests and habitats. In particular, every season will have an original event. Otherwise, each evening at 7h45 and 8:45, let’s come and be dazzled free admission by the magnificent sight of their Supertrees and let the music and lights entertain you.
3. Singapore Flyer is known as one of the world’s largest observation wheels, Singapore Flyer offers 360-degree city views, including Marina Bay, a panorama that even stretches to parts of Malaysia and Indonesia on a clear day. You will marvel at the spectacular scenery below at the site 165 meters above ground, equal to 42 stories. Not over yet, you also can savour an exquisite four-course dinner, sip on premium champagne or host a canapés party.
4. Theatres on the Bay – Esplanade is known for its distinctive “durian” shaped architecture, the Esplanade hosts a variety of performing arts events, from concerts to theatre and dance performances. It is one of the busiest arts centres in the world with about 3,500 performances presented by its, its collaboration partners and hirers yearly. Here is a great place in Singapore to enjoy an evening of culture, whether watching local bands on stage or enjoying traditional dance performances from Malaysia and Thailand, plenty of which are free.
5. Clarke Quay and Boat Quay, these vibrant riverside developments are filled with bustling bars, restaurants, and nightclubs, offering a lively nightlife scene. They can both be said that pretty noisy and busy – the difference between the two is that Clarke Quay is primarily tourists, while Boat Quay tends to be more of an after-work office crowd. 6. Spectra – A Light & Water Show on the Marina Bay waterfront is a free nightly outdoor 15-minute extravaganza displayed over the water at the Event Plaza. You have two choices, 8:15 PM or 9:00 PM. The best enjoyed across from the Marina Bay Sands shops but you could enjoy it from anywhere along Marina Bay. Being available immerse yourself in a beautiful symphony of music, water and light powered by advanced lasers. You also come to Sentosa to enjoy Wings of Time Sentosa which has two show times daily at 7:40 PM and 8:40 PM. The show lasts for 20 minutes and you need to spend 19$ to taste it. It seems to me that, I was more attracted by Wings of Time Sentosa than Spectra.
7. DUCKtours Singapore you will have 60 minutes of full-on thrill where you go on a voyage to discover the past, present and possibly the future. Hear the captivating Singapore story from well-loved DUCKtainers commentating onboard the craft while you capture snapshots of our city’s major monuments. Mindful that you have to check-in at the BIG BUS & DUCK Hub (#01-330, Suntec Shopping Mall) at least 30 minutes before tour time if you want to try this experience.
